I am absolutely thrilled to announce a new partnership between Business Relationship Management Institute (BRMI) and APMG-International. This partnership is designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality professional training and certification in the field of Business Relationship Management.
BRMI is the non-profit training, certification and professional development organization that I co-founded earlier this year, along with Aaron Barnes and Dr. Aleksandr Zhuk. BRMI was incorporated as a 501(c)(6) corporation in March, 2013 and serves the Business Relationship Management (BRM) professional community and corporations. BRMI provides quality education, training, and certification programs for both aspiring and seasoned BRMs. For more information, visit: www.brminstitute.org
APMG-International is a global examination institute. Its portfolio of qualifications includes COBIT® 5, CESG’s Information Assurance Scheme, ITIL, and PRINCE2. APMG-International works in partnership with over 250 training companies worldwide. Its Accredited Training Organizations have undergone the most rigorous assessment process in the industry. APMG-International examinations are available globally and it works with 21 languages. For more information, visit: www.apmg-international.com
About the BRMI-APMG Agreement
Under the agreement, APMG-International will accredit training organizations to deliver BRMI’s Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP®) and Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM®) Courseware and will be responsible for the creation, delivery, and administration of professional certification examinations.
Why Am I So Excited About This?
For me, the agreement represents an important milestone in my career and my long running interest and involvement in the BRM movement. I’ve been training Business Relationship Management professionals for over 20 years, as well as helping companies deploy and ‘tune’ their BRM capabilities. Unfortunately, there are many ways for the BRM role to fall short, or in many cases, to fail completely. Despite that, more and more companies are taking the BRM role seriously, and are investing in training and support to get Business Relationship Management capabilities working properly.
For BRMI and its members, having the support, deep expertise and global reach of APMG-International will help us grow the ecosystem of Accredited Training and Consulting Organizations and ensure that the BRMI training and professional qualifications are valued by employers and professionals alike.
